About

 About the blog

It was the year 2010 when some confidential government secrets popped out of nowhere through a whistleblower website, WikiLeaks. It drew the attention of all media houses and led to Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, being published or broadcast all over the world. Why did it become a sensation? I started to think in later years. The answer I got a few years back when Edward Snowden appeared in the USA, revealing thousands of dirty secrets of his government. At the same time, I started studying journalism, and then I managed to connect the dots and found my answers.

In most countries, the system asks citizens to choose a government that could work for their welfare and manage all the administrative things. A similar kind of political system can be found in all countries, leaving aside dictator-ruled states where things need to be started from the beginning. In your country, it is you who have the power to choose a government or let it fall. But because, as common people, we never indulge in or intend to show our responsibilities, our government becomes all-in-all, and we start to think that the power is in their hands. They realized our unawareness and indifference towards administration or policies that directly affect our lives. They realized our situation and discovered some formulas to make things more controlled under them and make things out of our reach. Slowly, we start to believe them as kings or queens and allow them to treat us like slaves. They formed an elite community with thousands of hidden secrets upon which they web a far more complex system to make it hard for common people to understand them and find benefits from it.

Now they can do anything they want. You never know if you are consistently under surveillance or being tracked every time by your own government. You never know if your favourite leader has a deal with the enemy nation that has always been on his radar in his whole political career. You never know that those soldiers who died showing bravery on the battlefield could easily have been saved, and maybe their martyrdom will be used only to collect votes. You never know if your government is imposing a new tax only to pay a loan that was taken from some multinational companies to spend money on election campaigns. You never know that the fund allocated to a hospital was diverted to a minister's Swiss bank account. You never know that a majority of the population could come out of poverty if the government would take timely action. You never know such things because these are kept away from us.

This blog is not about digging those hidden truths but will talk about the impact of such corruption, mismanagement, unlawful actions, or unjust policies of governments and institutions on a world level.

In simple language, The Utopianz is a socio-political blog which attempts to put the common man and his problems at the centre. You must have heard about a Utopian society that is woven into the dreams of many philosophers, true leaders, and scholars, but you must believe that this is something that can't be possible. It is true that something is Utopian unless it can be made true. But if we are aware of such things and understand our rights, we can tend to make a better world.

Best Of Luck
